Open Mind Learning is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

Accessibility is close to the heart of what we do. Our work is centered on supporting people who learn and process differently, so making sure this website is usable by as many people as possible — whatever their abilities, device, or technology — matters deeply to us.

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, motor, and neurological differences. We view accessibility as an ongoing effort and continue working toward meeting these standards across our site.

What we do to support accessibility

We work to:

  • Use clear, plain language and a consistent, predictable layout

  • Provide readable text sizes and sufficient color contrast

  • Add descriptive alternative text to meaningful images

  • Structure pages with proper headings so they work with assistive technology

  • Keep the site navigable by keyboard and usable across devices and screen sizes

This website is built on the Wix platform, which provides built-in accessibility features and tools that support these efforts:

  • Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues

  • Set the language of the site 

  • Set the content order of the site’s pages

  • Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages

  • Added alternative text to images

  • Implemented color combinations that meet the required color contrast

  • Reduced the use of motion on the site

  • Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible

An ongoing effot

We are continually working to improve the accessibility of this site, and we know some content may not yet be fully accessible. Accessibility is a process rather than a one-time fix, and feedback helps us do better.
